Russell Turek had been teaching guitar for nearly two decades when he joined the Albuquerque Institute of Music. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, he studied guitar at Columbia College Chicago, College of DuPage, and the University of New Mexico. Mr. Turek’s love of guitar began when he was young and he and his mom learned to play together. Through guitar he’s gotten to meet many other wonderful musicians, including many of his rock’n’roll heroes.

Outside of the music studio, Mr. Turek enjoys reading, going to concerts, painting, and the occasional trip to Disneyland in California.
