Enrolling your child in this class will provide them with numerous benefits. They will gain valuable experience playing in an ensemble, honing their bowing techniques, improving intonation, and refining their sense of rhythm. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers who share their passion for music. The course will culminate in a special concert for families, and each participant will receive a certificate of completion to mark their musical journey.
In addition, our curriculum is designed to prepare students for competitive events, giving them the skills and confidence to excel in music competitions and auditions.
The second session of the elementary string ensemble classes will commence on April 1st, with sessions scheduled for 10 weekly Monday afternoons from 4:15 to 5:30 pm in our new room adjacent to the current location. Please note we will be closed on Memorial Day, so the sessins will continue through June 10th! The curriculum will focus on Rounds and Canons for Reading, Recreation, and Performance, supplemented by carefully selected beginner ensemble pieces. To ensure an effective learning environment, the class will be divided into two 35-minute rehearsal segments, with a 5-minute break in between.
