After years of professional training and teaching, Tatyana Bayliyeva founded the Albuquerque Institute of Music in 2016 to share her love for music. Tatyana’s students have found great success in competitions as they have won nationally (California, Georgia, Colorado, New York, Connecticut, Arizona, South Carolina, Indiana, Texas, Florida, and of course, New Mexico) and internationally (Germany, Russia, Italy, Poland, Canada, UK, and South Korea). Furthermore, her students have performed on the most prestigious stages around the world including Carnegie Hall in New York, Albert Hall in London, and Ehrbar Saal In Vienna. 

Tatyana earned a Master’s Degree in piano performance from the Turkmen State Conservatory. She has performed solo’s and been part of ensembles, given presentations and workshops, and taught master classes in Russia, Turkmenistan, and many parts of the United States. She was selected to be a judge for the National Guild of Piano Teachers as well as served as an adjudicator for many national and international competitions. Tatyana is a proud local representative of the Trinity College London program and is currently the Vice President of the Albuquerque Music Teachers Association.

In 2023, Tatyana was awarded Top 5 Business Owners in the City by voters of the Albuquerque Magazine Best of the City annual contest!

When not teaching or performing her director duties, Tatyana loves to travel, do hot yoga, and spend time with her son, daughter, and two dogs, Leo and Mozart.

Melanie

Melanie is our Office Manager and has been with us since October 2020. She is your go-to lady for scheduling needs, school information, and announcements! In 2018, Melanie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Media Arts and minored in Arts Management at the University of New Mexico. She spent her last semester of college studying in Madrid, Spain and traveling to many European countries. After graduating from UNM, she completed the Springboard UX/UI Design Career Track program in 2020. She considers herself a jack of many trades and uses her education and experiences to help run the best music school ever!
