Melinda Moore grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and studied Music Education at UNM, earning her BA. Her mother had her take piano and violin lessons as a small child, but it wasn’t until her first time playing stand up bass with the Albuquerque Junior Symphony that she truly fell in love with music. Playing at the New Mexico All State Music conference every year in high school helped deepen her love of performance, particularly collaborating with fellow musicians to enrich their sound.

When she’s not teaching, Ms. Moore is also a writer and an amateur graphic designer.
