Originally from California, “Ms. May” has inspired children and adults both as an instructor and a choral master throughout hersuccessful career, with some of her former students now accomplished composers and professional musicians themselves. Choirs under her direction have garnered superior ratings at regional and national choral music festivals. She considers it a privilege to have been a music educator for 35+ years. She completed her undergraduate degree at Pepperdine University and holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Concordia University. She works as a freelance professional piano accompanist and trains students from beginner to advanced levels.

She maintains her professional affiliation with the New Mexico Music Educators Association (NMMEA), Albuquerque Music Teachers Association (AMTA), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME). A native of the Philippines, she enjoys an active lifestyle and has been married for 35 years.
